y MAHEInspired by traditional Maori fishing sinkers and anchor stones. These 'anchor stones' are made from either Otago brick clay or Nelson stoneware. Each one is formed by hand, shaped to resemble the stones used by early Maori settlers to anchor their fishing lines. The line is made from harekeke - flax - stripped back to expose the muka - fibre - within, then rolled into twine in the same way fishing lines and ropes were traditionally made. Mahe are used as a touchstone or paperweight. They measure approximately 60mm, and fit into the same box the korero are packed in. Popular as corporate gifts, for conferences, client or staff rewards and as koha when travelling overseas. These can be personalised using your logo or name in either the packaging or incorporating it in the design of the piece. Contact me or your nearest outlet for details and prices
